Of course there is a huge range of species
available, with nearly every species of
bluewater fish available, but the 5 species
above are what Fraser Island is famous for.
Fraser Island is ideal for a huge variety of
fishing options. We operate out of Fraser Island
from January-April each year as this is the best
time for the area, and also allows us to keep
fishing through Cyclone season, which usually
puts a halt to our Coral Sea trips at this time.
Our charters operate from our 36ft blackwatch
and you can choose to spend 1-5 days fishing
around the northern end of Fraser Island,
sharing the boat with up to 5 people for a day
trip or a maximum of 4 for overnight trips. This
is the ideal short getaway in one of the best
fishing locations imaginable. We usually operate
on a sole charter basis but may be able to
organise small groups if required.
The areas
around the Bunker Group in the southern
Great Barrier Reef are extremely remote and can only be
accessed with the use of our mothership. These areas provide
incredible lagoon anchorages making for awesome scenery, great fishing
and a comfy night's sleep! The areas
around Lady Musgrave Island fish extremely well for big
black and blue marlin between December and May each year.
