Bugatti/Elusive Reef May 2010 Trip Report
- 520 GTs in 1 week of fishing!!!
Well, 520 Gts and a heap of other species released in 1 week's fishing pretty much says it all. The whole 3 weeks of trips were blessed with amazing weather, and fishing that is still hard to believe. Easily the best week of GT fishing we've ever had. Glanville has written a highly entertaining and massive trip report for a blow by blow description of the action. The picture gallery features some amazing stuff as well. For the full trp report, and some great pictures CLICK HERE

Nomad Outfitters first exploratory trip for Tigerfish in Africa

Nomad Sportfishing is setting up a new "outfitters" program, involving international fishing locations that we believe will be of interest to guests who have so far enjoyed our Nomad Coral Sea Locations. Over the coming years we plan to find the best fishing in the world for species like Tiger Fish, Peacock Bass, Tarpon, Cubera Snapper, Giant Threadfin, Snakehead, Taimen and many other species that involve casting surface lures. The main theme of these trips will be big hard fighting fish that can be caught by casting surface and subsurface lures.
The first one of these trips is an exploratory trip to Zambia, hosted by Glanville, to chase massive tigerfish. Glanville grew up in Africa catching these fish, and the upper part of the Zambezi River in Zambia is home to the biggest population of these fish. The dates for the trip will be 9th-14th October 2010, and we are looking for 3-4 adventurous anglers to come along for what will surely be an amazing adventure. You'll be flying into the remote African Jungle and based in a luxury tented camp on the side of the Zambezi River in northwest Zambia. Price for the first trip is $3600/person for the trip plus $1800/person for return flights from Johannesburg to the camp, you also need to get to Johannesburg of course, but we can help with all this. For more information and pricing details for this special first trip, just CLICK HERE or call us on 1800 021 014.

New GT tournament for June 2011 at Elusive Reef

We are pleased to announce a new GT tournament that we are running in conjunction with the GT popping Forum for 2011. The trip is being organised and co-hosted by Brandon Khoo and Damon Olsen, and offers an opportunity for anglers to join in a fun week of fishing with some great prizes on offer. The tournament will be held at Elusive Reef from 20th-26th August 2011. We believe that after the trip report from May, Elusive Reef has proven itself as probably the best GT fishing location in the world. The trip will be the same price as a normal Nomad trip, but with the added bonus of some great prizes of Ripple Fisher and Yamaga rods, as well as Sebile, Patriot, and Nomad Lures. For more information on this exciting opportunity, please CLICK HERE to go to the GT popping forum, or CLICK HERE to download the tournament rules and information.

NEW 4 Day Coral Sea Short Trips flying out to Bugatti/Black/Crab Reef for March 2011

This month we are launching our new 4 day trip format, designed especially for people who simply can't take the time to do our 6 day trips to the Coral Sea. The trips are priced at $3400 plus seaplane flights for the 4 day trip. CLICK HERE for dates. The trips will be exactly the same as out Coral Sea Lagoon Explorer flyout trips, just that you'll only be at the reef for 3 full days and 2 half days. You will still fly out to the reef from Hamilton Island, and everything will be the same as our very popular Lagoon Explorer trips, except the time. We are running these trips only during March 2011 just to guage popularity, and we have a special offer for newsletter readers. If you book in for one of these short trips prior to the end of July 2010, you will recieve a 10% early booking discount on the trip (not seaplane) as an introductory offer.
