Bugatti Reef April 2009 Trip Report and images
The fishing at Bugatti Reef during April 2009 was nothing short of utterly spectacular. Over 650 GTs were released over 4 weeks of fishing by 48 anglers from 8 different countries. The spanish mackerel, wahoo, and other reef species were also in abundance, but this last trip proved beyond any doubt that Bugatti Reef is one of the hottest sportfishing locations around. NEW Shorter 2-4 day Coral Sea Sportfishing Trip Option
Always wanted to fish the Coral Sea, but a 6-7 day trip was a bit too much time? We now have a 51ft Riviera open flybridge vessel available for use on shorter 2-4 day trips departing Mackay. These trips will take anglers to fish the inner edge of the Coral Sea, and even out to Bugatti Reef on the 4 day trips. Anglers will be able to doGT popper fishing, light tackle trolling and deepwater jigging. Species will include GTs, black marlin, spanish mackerel, coral trout, red bass, sailfish, amberjack, yellowfin tuna, longtail tuna and many others. The 51ft vessel can very comfortable accommodate 5 anglers and crew, and the new vessel has every amenity imaginable. Perfect for small groups, these trips will start operation in July 2009, and prices are $2450 per person for the 3 day trip based on 5 anglers. With these shorter trips, we do ask that anglers organise their own groups.
Just Imagine, you could leave Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane on a Friday afternoon flight direct to Mackay, and have 3 days fishing the Coral Sea, and be back home late Monday night.

NEW Lagoon Explorer trip dates launched for 2009 - Bligh and Elusive Reef
We have just released a couple of new dates for Lagoon Explorer trips for 2009, due to the popularity and demand for these trips. We'll be going to Bligh Reef from the 24th-30th September 2009, and to Elusive Reef from the 31st August - 6th September 2009. The Bligh Reef trip will provide a rare opportunity to target both Giant trevally and dogtooth tuna during a lagoon explorer trip. please call us on 1800 021 014 for more information on these trips for 2009.
