Coral Sea Driveout GT Special
These trips involve 6 nights and 5 days fishing. These trips offer all of the same fishing styles, options and boats as used on the Coral Sea Lagoon explorer trips, but the Drive out GT special trip means that you do not have to access the reefs via seaplane, and makes these trips a more cost effective option for those who don't mind a night travelling at sea to reach the fishing grounds.
The Drive out special trips visit a variety of locations including Bugatti Reef, Capricorn Islands, Black Reef and Crab Reef. The trips are not run to a set destination each week, we simply go to the best location on any given week based on prevailing weather, tides and recent experience. All of the reefs we visit are on the edge of the Coral Sea, and provide exceptional fishing.
The Drive Out GT special trips cater for 14 anglers at a time, with 4 anglers in each of our 25ft centre consoles and 3 anglers in each of our 18ft centre consoles. These trips are mainly targeted at anglers wanting to cast or troll lures for reef species such as GTs, coral trout, red bass, emperors, spanish mackerel, longtail tuna and many others. The opportunity to reef fish and to jig with soft plastics is also available on these trips.
