Tim Baker has been with Nomad Sportfishing since our very first charter at Fraser Island. Tim was originally our deckhand at Fraser Island, and now has his skipper's ticket and skippers the Odyssey while on dive charters between January-April each Year.
Tim also skippers one of our 36ft sportfishing vessels during the Ultimate Adventure Trips and skippers one of the 18ft centre console's during the Coral Sea lagoon explorer trips. Tim has had years of experience in every aspect of sport, game and flyfishing. He has wired 1000lb marlin at Lizard Island, caught the biggest dogtooth tuna we've ever seen, caught more GTs than most people have had hot dinners and is a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of sportfishing.
Tim's favourite form of fishing would have to be casting poppers for Big GTs, something that is hard to beat, but he's also got a soft spot for chasing blue marlin.
Having worked for several years in Mozambique as manager of the marine section for a prestigious resort, Tim emigrated to Australia before starting with Nomad Sportfishing. He has a vast range of fishing skills and experience and will make your days fishing a joy as well as a learning experience.
A highly experienced freediver and spearfisherman, Tim will ensure that you'll never be short of a feed of fresh coral trout and crayfish.
Tim has been an integral part of the Nomad Sportfishing team since August 2002 and you can be sure that a day spent on the water with Tim will be a memorable experience.
